2024 Fall Program
- War of the Worlds
No one would have believed in the early 21st century that this world was being watched. Yet, across the gulf of space, an alien desired our planet with envious eyes. Inspired by H.G. Wells’ immortal classic, WAR of the WORLDS retells the tale of Earth’s struggle against a seemingly unstoppable invasion. In the 1st movement, you will hear Mars rise in its aggression and begin their invasion. As we move into movement 2, the earth is aflame in war but is beginning to see some hope in their resistance. In movement 3, the Earth is triumphant in their resistance. Featuring the music of Gustav Holsts', The Planets, War of the Worlds is the future that hopefully won't come to fruition.
