- The Way You Move: An OutKast Tribute
The Marching Wolverines present a high-energy ATL tribute featuring the music of OutKast and friends. We open with “Ms. Jackson,” flipping its iconic hook into bold brass statements and call-and-response impacts. The groove locks in on “The Way You Move,” showcasing precision footwork, low-brass swagger, and a dancing battery. Color guard drama blooms in “Roses,” with playful visual motifs and layered front-ensemble textures. We reset the field for a lush ballad moment on “Prototype,” highlighting woodwinds and solo voices before building to a full-ensemble halo. The energy snaps back with “Tightrope” (Janelle Monáe & Big Boi), featuring a snare break, dance feature, and fast-twitch dancing. We close with “Morris Brown,” bringing HBCU pageantry to the front sideline—company front, big sound, and a stadium-shaking tag. The South still has something to play!
